Federalism is a good idea in principle and it would make the political system more stable. The only problem is on the practical application. The country’s existing political divisions–towns and provinces–would create strong opposition from governors who won’t give up their political territories. But because it is hard, it doesn’t mean, we shouldn’t do it.
